New Initiative Aims to Boost Health in Northeast Oklahoma City

Oklahoma Complete Health, in collaboration with the Urban League, has introduced a transformative $300,000 initiative known as the Health Empowerment Zone, targeting the northeast region of Oklahoma City. This initiative is designed to address critical health disparities by focusing on improving maternal health, enhancing youth outcomes, and increasing access to healthcare services in underserved communities.

The Health Empowerment Zone aims to create a supportive environment that empowers residents to take charge of their health. By providing resources and educational programs, the initiative seeks to engage the community and foster a culture of health and wellness. Special emphasis will be placed on maternal health, recognizing the importance of supporting mothers and families in their journey toward better health.

Additionally, the program will work to improve youth outcomes by offering various services and opportunities that promote healthy lifestyles. Through collaboration with local organizations and stakeholders, the Health Empowerment Zone aspires to create lasting change and improve the overall well-being of the community.
