AdventHealth is set to take over daily operations at three Intermountain Health hospitals located in Wheat Ridge, Brighton, and Lafayette. The two health systems announced the transition through a news release, framing the arrangement as a "joint venture." However, AdventHealth will hold the primary responsibility for managing day-to-day activities at the facilities.
The hospitals involved in the shift include Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, and Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette. Under the new structure, Intermountain Health will retain some level of partnership, but AdventHealth will lead operational decisions, staffing, and patient care protocols.
Both organizations emphasized that the move is intended to improve healthcare access and efficiency in the region. Officials said the transition aims to combine resources and expertise to better serve local communities. Patients at the three hospitals are not expected to see immediate changes in services or care quality, as the systems plan to coordinate closely during the handover.
The deal reflects a broader trend of health systems forming joint ventures to streamline operations while maintaining a local presence. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transition is expected to be finalized in the coming months, pending regulatory approvals.
