In response to the growing mental health crisis affecting youth across the nation, Kutztown STRONG is set to host its second Youth Mental Health First Aid training session on Saturday, March 29. This initiative aims to equip community members with the skills necessary to support young individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
The training program is designed for adults who work with or care for youth, including parents, educators, coaches, and community leaders. Participants will learn how to identify signs of mental health issues, understand how to provide initial support, and guide youths towards appropriate professional help.
By fostering a more informed community, Kutztown STRONG hopes to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and encourage open conversations about these critical issues. This training represents a proactive step towards creating a supportive environment for young people, ensuring they have access to the help they need during difficult times.
